The Fourth District Container Village
The Fourth District Container Village started with a bold vision from Councilman Curtis Jones Jr. to build a retail mall from refurbished shipping containers. The West Philadelphia Corridor Collaborative and its partners helped make this vision a reality. In becoming the site operator – WPCC made the following three commitments
Residents of Parkside
WPCC commits to create a peaceful, safe, outdoor oasis for the residents of Parkside to relax, and shop locally.
Fourth District Container Village Tenants
WPCC commits to build a Village beyond the traditional landlord-tenant relationship, by investing one-on-one business coaching, marketing and promotional support along with other resources to help businesses grow.
Tourists and Visitors
WPCC will maintain a retail mall of diverse businesses selling unique products, and showcasing the best of Philadelphia’s startup talent.
